Home remedies for dandruff

There are many home remedies for dandruff. Most of them are easy-to-make pastes using the commonly available vegetables and their products. There are many reasons for the popularity of the home remedies for dandruff.

The foremost among these determining factors is that they are result oriented. Moreover, the home remedies for dandruff are economical. Above all, such home remedies for dandruff do not have any adverse effects on the scalp or the hair.

Since we can prepare these potions quite easily and hygienically the hair remains shiny and healthy. These brews can be used by any person irrespective of age and sex.

Here are the most popular home remedies for dandruff prepared from the commonly available items at home.

Grind three teaspoon of mustard. Mix it with three teaspoon of fenugreek. Apply the sticky paste on the hair and take special care to massage the blend into the scalp; Tie a cotton or muslin fabric over the head so that the pillow does not get soiled with the paste. Keep it overnight. Before you take bath, brush your hair with a comb with dense teeth. Use lukewarm fresh water to rinse the scalp. Practice this natural hair care method for a week.

Prepare a paste from the drained water from cooked rice mixed with Shikakai powder. Apply it on the hair and massage the concoction into the scalp. Keep it overnight. Wash the hair with herbal shampoo or green gram powder mixed in the drained water from boiled rice.

Pick up five fresh hibiscus flowers. Separate the petals and grind them lightly to extract the juice. Now, massage the hibiscus petal sap into the scalp. At the same time, ensure that the paste is rubbed into the hair. The best results are obtained when you use the paste for seven nights.

This is important, that is the time when the body actually relaxes after a hectic normal day. That is also the time when the body expands and the cells reforms. All this happens when you are in a sound sleep in the correct posture.

Mix five teaspoonful of gooseberry juice with six drops of almond oil. Massage the mixture on the scalp with your fingertips. Keep it for the night. Early in the morning wash the air with herbal shampoo and lukewarm water.

Pure-coconut oil massage for a week will control dandruff. Notably, pure coconut hair oil aids lustrous growth of hair.

Boil eight small onions for about 10 minutes. Then, thoroughly mix the boiled onions with coconut oil. Apply it to the scalp and leave it overnight. Wash the hair and the scalp with a concoction of seven teaspoonful of green gram powder mixed in a bowl of the drained water from boiled rice.

Grind 10 teaspoon of mustard with three teaspoon of fenugreek; add some water to make a paste. Apply it to the scalp. Keep it overnight. Use the method for a week. Wash off the hair with either herbal shampoo or the drained water of boiled rice mixed with green gram powder.

Camphor oil is another medicine. Heat a teaspoonful of the oil. Wait till the camphor oil comers to body temperature. Next, apply it on your dandruff-ridden head. Don’t rub but slowly massage it into the scalp for 10 minutes. Finally, wrap your head with a steamed towel. Keep the mop-up rag for about a quarter of an hour. You can also choose to keep it for the night to get the best effects. You can rinse your hair with herbal shampoo after half-an-hour or in the morning.
